Ellen She

Ellen received her M.D. degree in 1982 from Fujian Medical University in China and practiced medicine in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology for 10 years. She then went to Japan to continue her studies. She graduated from Hamamatsu University School of Medicine with a Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology in 1998.

Before joining NEFI, Ellen worked as a biologist in the Genetics Department at the Scripps Research Institute and at the University of California, San Diego, where she furthered her knowledge in basic cell biology and molecule biology and obtained extensive hands-on embryologic experience.

Ellen joined NEFI in 2007. She enjoys working in the infertility field where she can combine her knowledge, experience and skills. She performs state-of-the-art IVF techniques, including Conventional Insemination, Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Assisted Zona Hatching (AZH), Embryo Biopsy (blastomere and blastocyst) for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), and Cryopreservation (slow freezing and vitrification). She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB), and College of American Pathologists (CAP).
