IVF Treatments are complex and labor intensive. They are also very expensive. Couples who have medical insurance should check their benefits carefully prior to embarking on a treatment cycle. Pre-authorization is often required and is the responsibility of the insured to check their coverage.
The state of CT has passed a law that went into effect in October of 2005 which mandates insurance companies to cover fertility therapy under certain conditions.
