Dr. Gad Lavy, along with a team of practitioners and a RESOLVE mental health professional will speak on the causes, sympotms ant the multi-team approach to treating PCOS.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is genetic disorder potentially present at birth, and manifests at puberty. A history of PCOS carries major long term consequences of cardiovascular disease even after menopause. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is the most common cause of anovulatory infertility. Approximately 74% of woman diagnosed with PCOS become infertile. PCOS is a major public health issue and affecting approximately 3.5 to 5 million women a year.
There is no charge for this program. Refreshments will be served.
