Michael M. Guarnaccia, MD, MPH

Dr. Michael M. Guarnaccia is a leading fertility specialist with over 30 years of experience in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is currently a specialist at the New England Fertility Institute, where he provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and couples facing fertility challenges.
Dr. Guarnaccia earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale University School of Medicine, where he also served as a Clinical Fellow and Faculty Instructor.
Dr. Guarnaccia served as Medical Director of the Center for Women’s Reproductive Care at Columbia University for 13 years, during which time he also led the IVF Clinic. In these leadership roles, he was instrumental in advancing clinical protocols, improving patient outcomes, and establishing Columbia as a national leader in reproductive medicine.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Guarnaccia holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, with a focus on Health Policy and Management, and a Certificate in Healthcare Information Technology, also from Columbia. These credentials reflect his dedication to integrating innovation and policy into reproductive healthcare.
He is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and an active member of several professional societies, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. His research has been published in leading journals such as Fertility and Sterility, Reproductive Biomedicine Online, and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, focusing on enhancing IVF success, optimizing assisted reproductive technologies, and addressing complex infertility cases.
